English speaking camp
Have you ever taken part in some English speaking camp? As I mentioned before in some thread (Spanish section), I was the leader of English speaking group in Tokyo for a long time and we used to go camping with English speaking friends. In the camp the common language was English and each time people use Japanese, they had to pay 100 yen as penalty. Oh, that money was used for karaoke or something like that when all was over. The first day was kind of 'hell' for those who were not familiar with speaking English all day long but the third day was totally different. Everyone was talking a lot in English and it was noted clearly our improvement of spoken English. It's really fun and a good way to improve your language! By the way I wish I could do that kind of camp in Spanish and Japanese too. The problem is that nobody seems to get interested in this plan...

Yap! That thing looks interesting! When I was a child, I used to go to a russian-argentinian boys scout´s camp (hehe, strange ha?), and your superiors use to punish you when talking spanish, but not with money, but, in THE 100BOYS SCOUT´s KITCHEEEEN!!! May be that´s why I like kooking!! Well, I´d love to be in such a camp, so count with me, sisisí.

Arigatoo, Yakitori for the explanation! You are right. It is ofen interesting for u to know the origin of stuff, isn't it? :D Yeah, English speaking camp is based on that kind of camp and today people are coming up with modernized or modified outdoor activities. Mine is very educational as well as cultural and linguistic and I believe this kind of activities increase greatly the efficiency of learning. Of course, it's really a fun to be with your friends sharing the similar interests while learning something constructive and interesting. And above all it's very economical!:D
